Dr. Dawd Siraj appointed to IDSA Global Health Committee

Dr. Dawd Siraj

Dawd Siraj, MD, MPH&TM, professor (CHS), Infectious Disease, has been selected to join the Global Health Committee of the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA). 

The mission of the committee is to promote evidence-based, robust US-led policy responses to global infectious disease threats, including HIV, tuberculosis, antimicrobial resistance, emerging and resurgent infectious diseases such as Ebola, Zika, Dengue, chikungunya, globally neglected epidemics such as hepatitis C, and global health security and public health preparedness activities. 

Members of the committee advise policymakers about policy and funding related to research and development, as well as responses for global infectious diseases that constitute public health threats.
