Dr. Sarah Ahrens Inducted into Gold Humanism Honor Society, Receives Tow Award

Sarah Ahrens, MD, clinical associate professor, Hospital Medicine, was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and received the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health's white coat ceremony, held August 23, 2019.

UW SMPH medical students elected Dr. Ahrens into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. The Society recognizes medical students, residents, and faculty who practice patient-centered care by modeling the qualities of integrity, excellence, compassion, altruism, respect and empathy.

The Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award recognizes graduating students and faculty members who demonstrate both clinical excellence and outstanding compassion in the delivery of care and who show respect for patients, their families, and healthcare colleagues.
