UW Health honors Advanced Practice Providers

Elaine Rosenblatt, APNPThe UW Health Advanced Practice Provider Recognition Award ceremony was held on October 16, 2017 at the Monona Terrace Convention Center. From the Department of Medicine, Elaine Rosenblatt, NP (pictured at right) of the Division of General Internal Medicine received the Excellence in Leadership Award. 

Rosenblatt's nomination explained her outstanding professionalism and skillful approach to patient-centered care, and a testimony from the nomination was included in the ceremony. It read, “Elaine has been instrumental in the development of travel medicine at UW Health, where for over a decade, she provided the bulk of the service for the entire institution. Her work extends nationally and internationally. Elaine has provided more than 100 lectures and seminars in Travel Medicine and served as the past President of the American Travel Health Nurses Association. Elaine inspires and facilitates work of individuals and teams to reach their highest potential. Elaine has been part of the fabric of this institution for over 40 years as a leader, educator and clinician – this award for leadership is long overdue.”  

Additional awardees (not pictured) included Linda Szalkucki, APNP, CBCN, Department of Surgery, who received the Excellence in Clinical Practice Award; Ann Baggot, APNP, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, who received the Excellence in Teaching Award; and Lisa Simpson, PA-C, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, who received the Unsung Hero award.
